This is my final animation for my Fall 2009, Intermediate Animaiton class. We were given a list of words to spark an idea, and I chose the word Falling. I took that word and expanded it to everything that I thought falling is, or things that represent falling.

This project took 6 weeks to create. I started off with a rough and loose storyboard and animatic, to allow myself to change things as needed since I was on a tight time schedule. From there I dove head first into the animation, driving through it full force. While animating, I recorded a few different people for voices that I would add later and to start getting a feel for timing of the piece.

After I finished the aniamtion, I shot all the images with a still camera using dragon. I took the high resolution images and brought them into Adobe After Effects where I timed out all the animation and compositied everything. From there I exported the movie and added the audio in Final Cut Pro. After that I exported the final video which you see here.

Overall I am very pleased with the work I acommplished in the 6 week time period. My next step for this piece is to create an additional sound effects track and maybe even a music track.

This piece consists of over 1400 final drawings, not including all the mistakes, and extra drawings used to create the final drawings.
